Mr. Amavisca has been practicing law for over 20 years. He is a former Imperial County Deputy District Attorney. Mr. Amavisca is a member of the California State Bar; California Public Defender’s Association; the California DUI Lawyer’s Association; The California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the Pacific Juvenile Defender Center.
Mr. Amavisca received his Juris Doctorate in Jurisprudence from Pacific Coast University School of Law; a Master of Science in Criminal Justice: emphasis in forensic sciences from Saint Leo University, Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from California State University Fullerton. Additionally, Mr. Amavisca is a professor of Criminal Justice at San Diego State University: Imperial Valley Campus.
